The Special Investigation team began its investigations in April 2010. First charges were brought in September 2011.
All the defendants were sent to trial on all the charges against them following a Sufficiency Hearing before the Supreme Court in April 2012. The Prosecution has been ready for an effective Plea and Directions Hearings since July 2012. Delays were caused by issues relating to legal aid for the defence.
At a hearing on 16th September 2013, in the Supreme Court in Providenciales before the trial Judge Mr. Justice Harrison the Prosecution informed the court that it was ready to proceed to the next stage of the case before the end of the year and then to proceed to a full trial in January 2014. Attorneys acting for a majority of the defendants submitted that they would not be ready to make submissions until the New Year or to proceed to trial until the later part of 2014.
Justice Harrison ordered that a Pleas and Directions Hearing would take place on 6th January 2014 and that the trial would start on 7th July 2014.

- Earlson McDonald Robinson
Earlson McDonald Robinson was severed from the main trial on 22nd September 2015.
Richard Michael Padgett pled guilty to Bribery and Conspiracy to pervert the course of Justice and was sentenced to two years imprisonment in relation to Bribery and six months imprisonment in relation to Perjury concurrently , the said sentences being suspended for two years.
After numerous applications by the defence , the trial finally commenced on 8th December , 2015.
